Magical Mermaid Dreamscape Painting

When I first painted this painting, it was in January of 2020 in my high school senior year art class. I painted it in 30 minutes and just let myself go crazy and have complete creative freedom in what I wanted to create. I then felt ashamed of it and proceeded to hide it in my art class, hoping it would not be seen again. When Covid hit in March of 2020 and we had to take time off of school indefinitely, my art teacher found the painting, and contacted me to let me know she was dropping it off so I could finish it. I then proceeded to have one of the most fun, pure, enjoyable, spiritual experiences I've ever had making art to this day while finishing it. I credit a lot of my current art style and voice to this painting. Thank you Ms. Barnes your kindness will never be forgotten!! I really can't thank her enough for this, shoutout to high school art teachers.
